Crime Fiction Blurb Fest this weekend!

TBR invites all authors who write crime fiction to share their blurbs during the Crime Fiction Blurb Fest this weekend!

Crime fiction would be any story whose central theme revolves around a crime, or stories containing a crime, or whose main protagonist is a police officer/detective/etc. I play it pretty fast and loose with blurb fests, so if you're uncertain, post away.

It's easy to participate - just share the following in the comments section:

- Book title
- By you
- Blurb
- Buy link

One blurb per author, please. And please invite other authors to share their blurbs, too.

I'm looking forward to reading some great blurbs this weekend!

  1. Gypsy Blood (Born to Romany Blood, Book 1)

    by Lorrie Struiff

    Everyone has secrets.
Homicide Detective Rita Moldova has a secret, a crystal amulet from her Roma bloodline that allows her to see the last image a victim had seen in their eyes before they died. Now, a ritual killer is terrorizing her town and the crystal’s magic has suddenly stopped doing its job.
FBI agent, Matt Boulet, is sent to lead the task force and gives the group strange orders. Worse, Rita senses he is holding back a deep, dark secret about the killer.
When she confronts her seer mother’s advice, she learns another secret about their clan that she finds impossible to swallow.
Rita swims through a whirlpool of confusion as the investigation continues. Can Rita deny the lore of the ancients? Can she deny her growing feelings for Matt Boulet?

  2. The Limping Dog
    By J. R. Lindermuth

Gavin Cutter, an artist living in an isolated village on the New England coast, witnesses the crash of a sailing ship onto a reef. The first aboard the wreck, he rescues a dog, the only living creature on the vessel. Ron Myers, wealthy owner of a growing computer firm, and the ship's crew have disappeared without a trace. When insurance investigator TJ Flood questions Cutter and others, he learns a sheriff's deputy denies knowledge of a woman who also witnessed the incident. Myers is alleged to have developed a radical new microprocessor system. Some assert the system was lost with its creator, others believe it exists and have devious plans to profit from the invention. Flood is attracted to Cutter's daughter, Dee. Together they investigate the ship incident and strange coincidences surrounding it. The result is threats, danger-and several murders.
