TBR welcomes Jennifer Malone Wright

TBR: Welcome to TBR, Jennifer. Will you share a little bit about yourself?
Jennifer: My name is Jennifer Malone Wright, I am 33 years old and a mother of 5 kids. I’ve been married for 11 years and live in Northern Idaho. I am the author of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter Series and The Birth of Jaiden.

TBR: Tell us about The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter Short Story Series and where it's available.
Jennifer: My Latest release is The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter Short Story Series. Part 5 is my most recent release in the series. And it’s available pretty much anywhere. Part 1 is always free everywhere.

TBR: Please tantalize us with a story blurb or excerpt.
Jennifer: Fourteen-year-old Chloe witnesses her mother’s murder at the hands of a vampire. Before the vampire can kidnap her, there is an unexpected rescue by a group of vampire hunters. Overwhelmed by the feeling of safety, Chloe passes out and they whisk her away to their small community.

When Chloe wakes, she comes face to face with the only other living relative, besides her mother, whom she has ever met: her grandfather. Chloe’s mother kept her hidden from the family; now, Chloe tries to unveil the family secrets.

Through her grandfather, she learns her mother was a vampire hunter. In fact, her entire family is descended from the powerful bloodlines of vampire hunters. Chloe agrees to join the family she has never known for one reason only: Chloe vows to kill the vampire responsible for her mother’s murder.

With vengeance in her soul, Chloe is even more determined to follow through on her vow when she discovers the true identity of her enemy and how he is connected to her

TBR: How do you develop your characters?
Jennifer: I usually roll a character around in my head for a while, then I start writing scenes and they develop all on their own. I do, sometimes, write out small character profiles so that I don’t forget what color they eyes and hair are, that sort of thing.

TBR: Did any music inspire your book? Do you have a playlist?
Jennifer: The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter was written with a lot of instrumental music. I have a hard time writing with music that has lyrics. I like to listen to lyrics so it throws me off to hear them while I’m writing. Some of the music I like to listen to when I’m writing are Beethoven, Vitamin String Quartet, Metal Symphony music, and lot’s of piano solos.

TBR: Which of your characters would you most/least like to invite to dinner, and why?
Jennifer: I actually think it would be pretty cool to have dinner with Damion from my novel, The Birth of Jaiden. He is a fallen angel, and very funny. I think it would awesome to hear some of his stories about the past.

TBR: Tease us with one little thing about your fictional world that makes it different from others.
Jennifer: My favorite thing about my world I created that is different from others is that I created an actual race of vampire hunters. In the story, the legend goes…An angel warrior was sent down to rid the world of vampires. While on earth, he fell in love with a warrior woman, this woman was different from others and she was a demi-god, descended from Artemis, Goddess of the hunt. From these two warriors a new breed of warrior was born…the vampire hunter.

TBR: What's next for you?
Jennifer: From here I will continue The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter and also work on my sequel to The Birth of Jaiden, my vampire paranormal full length novel.

TBR: Any other published works?
Jennifer: Aside from The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter and The Birth of Jaiden I have a guide to self publishing and marketing called Beyond the writing.

TBR: Where can readers find you on the web?
Jennifer:

TBR: Thanks for visiting TBR, Jennifer. Best of luck to you.
